Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and establishing Christ-centered, Bible-teaching churches is the heartbeat of Biblical missions. At Lee’s Summit Bible Church, we’re committed to prayerfully supporting like-minded individuals, families, and missions that endeavor to fulfill this mandate. 

 

Below, you’ll find information about our own mission, Lee’s Summit Bible Mission, as well as information about missionaries and ministries that we support through prayer and financial gifts. 

 

 

Lee’s Summit Bible Mission

“Taking the Word to the World”

 

Lee’s Summit Bible Mission is a ministry of Lee’s Summit Bible Church. Established in 1996, the mission was founded for the purpose of making Biblical missions the heartbeat of our local body. We seek to develop in our congregation a love for the Word of God and for sharing the Gospel of Christ across the street and around the world. Understanding that it is not God’s purpose for everyone to go “to the uttermost parts of the earth” with the Gospel, the mission was developed so that the members of Lee’s Summit Bible Church can become intimately involved in the lives of missionaries, their families, and their ministries. Every missionary with Lee’s Summit Bible Mission must become a member of Lee’s Summit Bible Church, ascribe to the Lee’s Summit Bible Church doctrinal statement, and spend at least one year living and working among the members. As a financial supporter of any missionary of Lee’s Summit Bible Mission, you can rest assured that 100% of your donations go directly to the missionary and their ministry. 

 

 

Currently, Lee’s Summit Bible Mission supports two missionaries:
Randy, Donna, Jonathan, Jordan & Jesse Weets
 
Randy and Donna Weets have ministered in Panama for nearly 20 years and are much loved members of the  Lee’s Summit Bible Church family. Randy is the pastor of Iglesia Biblica Amistad (Friendship Bible Church) in Panama City, Panama. They are also involved in a Christian School ministry, camp ministries, Bible studies, and have just embarked on a building project.

Eleanor Timmerman
 
Eleanor Timmerman brings to Lee’s Summit Bible Church and Mission nearly 40 years of life on the field in Mexico in Christian School and local church ministries. Though retired from the field, she has not slowed down. Eleanor is active wherever God calls her and currently acts as our “missionary-in-residence”. We consider ourselves truly blessed to count her as a member of Lee’s Summit Bible Church and Mission. Please pray for her as she seeks to do whatever God calls her to. If you would like to support Eleanor financially, send your donations to:
